While it has just recently been re-launched, Silent Shadows is one of my oldest projects to date. It exists as a place where serious writers can come to share their work with the rest of the world, without having to fight to have it seen. Anything that is well written and well thought out will make it to our main page and to our RSS feed, and possibly even in audio form to the Open Mic Night we sponsor on Second Shifters.
Silent Shadows is a site focussed on providing a positive atmosphere for writers to share themselves and their works with the rest of the world, without the struggles that normally come with trying to promote one's self. Whether you're a seasoned writer, or just starting to try your hand at the craft, we welcome you with open arms to our project, and we'll be glad to read your work.
Our system is fairly straight forward. When you submit your writing for review, our staff will check it over for any blatant errors (and we'll make sure that you aren't just trying to spam us), and if everything checks out, you will find your work on our main page shortly after it is approved from our moderation queue. Should we find any mistakes that need to be addressed before your work goes live, we will send an email your way to alert you to the problems we discovered and ask you to re-submit your work once those issues are taken care of.
We've done our best to ensure that there is no mystery to the system, and it's been designed to counter against favoritism of any kind. So, if you're looking at a fair shot to get your name out there, this is a great place to start.
